Short Biography

Dr. Md. Jakaria Habib, PhD is an Associate Professor in English and the Dean, Faculty of Education, Health & Technology. He is also the Program Lead for M.Ed. Program. He is a senior academic professional with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Prior to this service, he worked as Associate Professor at Sylhet International University, Sylhet. Over the years, Dr. Jakaria has built a strong reputation for his contributions to research, teaching, and academic development. He has been actively involved in teaching at the university level, where he has guided undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has also served in various senior academic and administrative roles at RTM AKTU, where he has been actively involved in Curriculum Development, Faculty Mentoring, and Institutional Quality Assurance.

Dr. Jakaria earned his B.A. (Hon.) and MA in English, and Ph.D. Degree from Rajshahi University and Jahangirnagar University respectively.

He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and has presented his work at various academic conferences. His scholarly contributions often address contemporary challenges in higher education and management, offering practical insights and policy recommendations.

In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Habib is known for his commitment to professional development and extra-curricular activities. He has participated in many workshops, seminars, and collaborative projects aiming at improving educational standards and fostering innovation in teaching and learning.

RESEARCH INTEREST

His research interest is on Modern Fiction, Post - Colonial and Post-Modern Literature, and Feminism.

Dr. Habib taught English language and literature at the university level. He taught modern English literature and Post - Modern literature, Morphology and Syntax, Linguistics and Phonetics and phonology, ELT, etc.
