Short Biography

Md: Mizanur Rahman is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Technology (Fashion Design) at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU). He has demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research in relation to fashion design. He began his professional career as a Trainee Fashion Designer at Sale Point Fashion House, where he gained practical experience in design studio operations and fashion development. He has also served as a Fashion Designer at Sale Point Fashion House and later worked as an Industrial Engineer at Energy Pack Fashion Ltd. Through these roles, he developed strong expertise in fashion design, production processes, and industrial workflow management. Mr. Mizanur possesses excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills, enabling him to collaborate effectively with design and production teams to achieve organizational goals.

Mr. Mizanur obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design & Technology from UTTARA University. He later completed his Master's degree from RTM Al-Kabir Technical University.

His research interests lie in the fields of fashion trend analysis, pattern technology, and textile technology. He is particularly interested in exploring innovative approaches to fashion design, learning emerging fashion trends, and integrating modern textile technologies into contemporary fashion development.

COURSES TAUGHT

Courses taught include Fashion Styling and Promotion, Textile Technology, Quality Control, Product Development, Advanced Pattern Making, Pattern Drafting, Fashion Art, Sewing Technology, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Industrial Training. Developed course materials, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to support student learning and skill development. Supervised studio practice, guided students in creative design processes, technical pattern development, and garment construction techniques. Emphasized industry-relevant practices, quality standards, and production processes to prepare students for professional roles in the fashion and textile sector. Provided academic mentoring, evaluated student projects, and supported students during industrial training placements to strengthen their practical and professional competencies.
