S.A.M. Thahmid’s research interests focus on ELT and ELE pedagogy and curriculum development, with a particular emphasis on designing learner-centered curricula, evidence-based teaching methods, and effective assessment practices. He is interested in exploring innovative pedagogical approaches—such as task-based learning, materials development, technology-enhanced instruction, and formative assessment—to improve communicative competence across diverse learner populations.
