His research interests span the fields of Food security and nutritional inequalities, lifestyle behaviors, and chronic disease prevention. He is particularly interested in designing behavioral intervention utilizing mHealth technology to reduce the burden of obesity and chronic diseases.

Courses taught include Introduction to Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Demography and Population Dynamics, Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Research Methodology, Urbanization and Migration, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, and Nutrition & Food Safety. He develops course materials, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to support student learning and skill development. He is also actively involved in providing academic mentoring, guiding, and supervising practicum and thesis projects of both BDPH and MPH students.
