Short Biography

Jamal Ahmed-AHN is a senior professional at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU) with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He is currently acting as the Deputy Registrar and Student Advisor at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU). In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he is actively engaged in academia as a Lecturer and MPH Program Coordinator in the Department of Applied Health and Nutrition, where he contributes to curriculum development, academic coordination, and postgraduate program management.

With over 30 years of extensive professional experience in public health, research, and development sectors, Mr. Ahmed has worked with several renowned national and international organizations, including BRAC, icddr,b, Johns Hopkins University Bangladesh Office, and Shimantik. His professional expertise spans maternal and neonatal health, health systems strengthening, capacity building, project implementation, and stakeholder coordination across multiple levels of governance.

Mr. Ahmed completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) from Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the University of Chittagong and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from MC College, Sylhet.

His research interests include maternal and child health, health systems strengthening, community-based health interventions, health service delivery, and public health program evaluation. He is particularly interested in capacity building of health systems, strengthening community engagement, and improving service delivery through evidence-based interventions and effective coordination among stakeholders.

Developed lecture materials, assessment tools, and practical learning approaches to enhance student understanding of public health concepts and systems. Emphasized evidence-based learning, community-oriented approaches, and application of health information systems in public health practice.
