The aim of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is to constantly strive to provide an in-depth knowledge to its students so that they add value to the existing knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering and its allied concepts. We promote lateral thinking and a spirit of enquiry among our students so that they are able to provide simple solutions to complex problems. We owe to deliver through our teaching learning process the richness of multidisciplinary knowledge and skills in a way where social commitments will be the corner stone for our students. After successful completion of this program our students will have a solid foundation on theoretical and practical courses which will help them to develop

skills to solve complex technological problems of current times and also provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities. EEE Department is dedicated to nurture and develop world class professionals imbued with strong sense of ethical values and competence ready to face the competitive world of business, service and employment.

• Duration: Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is a four-year course designed for students to acquire conceptual and practical skills of EEE. This four year consists of 8 semesters, and each semester comprises 6 months.
• Credit requirement: To acquire EEE degree, a student has to earn 156 credits.
• Degree requirements: Minimum CGPA 2.50.
• Evaluation system: Outcome-based evaluation system recommended by UGC of Bangladesh.

The EEE program consists of the following courses:

To be eligible for admission in B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering program, a candidate must pass SSC and HSC examinations or equivalent in Science Group. To apply for admission the candidates will require 12-years of formal education with the expected results as mentioned below:

• Minimum GPA 2.50 in both SSC and or equivalent exams (Dakhil, Vocational) and HSC or Equivalent exams (Alim, Vocational) science group. Or,
• ‘O’ level examination 5 subjects and for ‘A’ level examination 2 subjects must be passed respectively from which at least ‘B’ grade or GPA ‘4’ must be obtained in 4 courses and ‘C’ grade or GPA ‘3.5’ must be obtained in the remaining three subjects out of total 7 courses in both the levels.
• Diploma from a recognized institution with a GPA of 2.0 (out of 4) or equivalent.
• Sons/daughters of Freedom Fighters with an aggregate GPA of 5.00 in SSC and HSC.

• Total Fees (8 Semesters, 156 credits):  After 40% waiver Tk. 277,800
• Just pay Tk. 15,000 for admission/registration. The rest of the amount can be deposited in the beginning of each semester.

• Application Form price Taka 500.
• Library caution money Tk. 1,000, which is refundable and thus not included in the total amount.
• Deposit at least Tk. 15,000 as registration fee during admission and the rest of the amount can be deposited in the beginning of each semester.
• The semester fee, skill/LAB fee and tuition fee of 1st semester should be deposited within 15 days of the submission of Admission Application Form.

• All students will get a 40% waiver of Semester and Tuition Fees (for 50th Year of Bangladesh’s Independence).
• The eligible students may get other fee waivers as per RTM-AKTU policy. For more details, please contact admission office.
