The University has a purpose-built campus located in the heart of the Sylhet City.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) Program is a professional course meant for preparing teacher educators and educational professionals, including curriculum developers, educational policy analysts, planners, administrators, supervisors, school principals, and researchers. It offers development opportunities for people seeking to play a leading role in emerging educational practice within a range of social, environmental, and educational contexts. The degree critically examines recent developments in theory, policy, practice, and research methodologies for educational leadership across early childhood, primary, secondary, tertiary, TAFE, community-based, and other professional settings. Our program will develop learners’ artistic ability and creativity, communication skills, classroom teaching, and research skills through active participation in the academic program and activities as their key attributes.

The M.Ed. is a bi-semester, one year, 39 credit program which offers courses such as: Teacher Education: History and Policy Perspective, Foundations of Education, Methods of Teaching, Assessment of Education, Methods and Techniques of Educational Research, Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development in Primary Education, Data Analysis, Tools & IT, Intelligence, Creativity and Education, Education in Global Perspective, and Thesis/Practicum/Internship. The summary structure of the program is as follows:

• B.Ed, PG.Ed., and DP.Ed, Graduates are eligible for admission in M.Ed. program.
• Master degree holders are also eligible to join the M.Ed. program by fulfilling extra requirements.

• Total Fees: Tk. 79,700;
• Introductory offer: 50% Waiver on Tuition fees and Semester fees;
• Special discounts available for group admission (Minimum 5);
• Up to 100% scholarships available for poor meritorious students and children of freedom fighters.

• Application Form price Taka 500.
• Library caution money Tk. 1,000, which is refundable and thus not included in the total amount.
• While taking admission, a student has to pay Tk. 15,000 as admission/registration fee.
• Deposit at least Tk. 15,000 as registration fee during admission and the rest of the amount can be deposited in the beginning of each semester.
• The semester fee, skill/LAB fee and tuition fee of 1st semester should be deposited within 15 days of the submission of Admission Application Form..

Upon Completion of the M.Ed Program graduates can work on multiple fields, teaching being the most common one. Graduates in M.Ed Program pursue career development for leadership roles in early childhood, primary or secondary contexts within the public or private system, school administration, policy development, adult and vocational training, teacher education, curriculum development, educational assessment and evaluation, and educational research both in Bangladesh and abroad.
