Short Biography

Piali Dey Bristi joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University in February 2022. She accomplished her MS in Statistics from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology. Prior to this, she did her BSc in Statistics with a Second Major in Computer Science & Engineering from the same institute. She achieved University Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students for her excellent performance.

Before joining this university she did her internship as a Statistical Programmer at Shafi Consultancy Bangladesh and served as a senior teacher at Sylhet Ideal School and College. She worked in different research projects such as, “Prevalence and risk factors of overweight and obesity among school-going children of the North-Eastern part of Bangladesh”,

“Targeting Effectiveness and Productive Outcomes of the Social Safety Net Programs in Rural Bangladesh: An Evaluation” Sponsored by Ministry of Education, Govt. of Bangladesh”, Meta-Analysis for Cardiovascular Disease and Metabolic Syndrome etc. In her MS thesis, “Exploring Patterns of Children’s Disabilities in Sylhet Division” she applied methods of data mining for analysis to evince the patterns of disabilities in children of Sylhet.
