Short Biography

Dr. Rezwana Sultana is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Lecturer & Co-Ordinator in the Department of Applied Health & Nutrition at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU).

Having earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Sylhet M.A.G Osmani Medical College, Dr. Rezwana pursued further expertise through a year of post-graduate training from Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Subsequently, she enrolled in the MPH program at the National Institute of Preventive & Social Medicine (NIPSOM) with a specialization in Health Service Management & Policy within the Department of Public Health and Hospital Administration. Throughout her tenure at NIPSOM she has actively engaged in several research initiatives and sought additional knowledge through research-related workshops and training programs offered by the Bangladesh Medical & Research Council (BMRC).

Driven by her passion for healthcare advancement, Dr. Rezwana aspires to contribute significantly to the field through ongoing research endeavors. Presently, she is immersed in working on three publications and overseeing an active research project. In addition to her research pursuits, she brings a wealth of experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, complemented by her active involvement in diverse health education and promotion initiatives.

Moreover, she excels in communication, organization, and team building, demonstrating strong skills in these areas. She possesses expertise in utilizing advanced data analysis tools like SPSS and STATA. Additionally, she has delivered several compelling presentations and has experience in hosting numerous programs and participating in debates.

Her research interests lie in the development of the health sector, strategic planning, policy formulation and the enhancement of public health initiatives. Below are her listed research endeavors:

The Financial Burden & Coping Strategies of Oral Cancer: Estimates from Patients Undergoing Cancer Care in the selected tertiary level hospitals of Bangladesh (ongoing);
Management Leadership and Employee Participation regarding Occupational Safety Measures in Selected Tertiary Level Hospitals of Bangladesh;
Management of Infection Prevention and Control at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
